Patch 1.3 air changes[edit]

Patch 1.3 air changes

"More small air wings is no longer better than less large air wings."

http://www.hoi4wiki.com/Patch_1.3#Bugfix

Shouldn't the Close Air Support section be amended in it's entirety at this point?

What about the outdated guide that's cited for nearly all the mechanics? http://www.hoi4wiki.com/Air_warfare#Guides

It gives a casual reader the impression that air game is just as broken as it was on release version 8 months ago.

You'd think the company itself would be interested in their wiki being up-to-date on game mechanics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.184.38.61 (talk) 00:59, 14 February 2017‎ (CET)

air superiority[edit]

As of 14/3/2019, the Air Warfare wiki states, "The superiority power in the region comes from all of your (and your allies) active air wings in that region. The more air wings the higher the value, but be aware that the value is also reduced (adjusted) with low region coverage so remember to rebase your air wings to get the most optimal region coverage. Air superiority can also be adjusted by mission efficiency. Fighters on air superiority missions are generally the best way to get air superiority due to their relatively high speed, agility, and power value compared to other aircraft."

How about changing the sentences to:

The superiority power in the region comes from all of your (and your allies) active airplanes in that region.

The more airplanes, the higher the value. Be aware that the value is also reduced (adjusted) with low region coverage. So remember to rebase your air wings to get the most optimal region coverage.

Fighters on air superiority missions are generally the best way to get air superiority.

I'd drop "(adjusted)", otherwise it sounds good to me. Independently from your change, the use of "coverage" is a bit problematic because here it can refer to both the lack of individual wing's ranges, reducing their air superiority power, as well as lacking enough planes to saturate the area (AIR_REGION_SUPERIORITY_PIXEL_SCALE), reducing the air superiority scale.
