Converter images[edit]

Could you please add a proper copyright tag to the icons used on the Victoria 2 to Hearts of Iron IV converter page (uploaded by Flagger). Or should these images not be used by this Wiki? – Lillebror (talk) 17:40, 28 December 2016 (CET)

I've reached out to the person who added the icons to the converter to check on their copyright status. I think he created them, but am not sure, and don't know how he feels about their use here in any case. Idhrendur (talk) 18:08, 28 December 2016 (CET)
We cannot host images where the copyright status isn't known. Unless you can come back to us with a source or answer we'll have to delete them. Dauth (talk) 00:25, 29 December 2016 (CET)
Fair enough. I'm still just waiting to hear back, but if we can't wait, then I can reupload them on getting a positive answer. Idhrendur (talk) 03:47, 29 December 2016 (CET)
Thanks for understanding. I've deleted them for now but if you can confirm the origin and copyright I can undelete them for you too. Dauth (talk) 12:39, 29 December 2016 (CET)
Hey, what up! I'm the person who uploaded them and I ensure you I just took the files from the converter itself. The only one originally created by me was the Ancap one, which I hoped Idhrendur would add. ~der Hochmeister, alas Flagger 16:12, 17 January 2017 (CET)
As has been said by SolSys on my talk page. We need permission/copyright from the creators of the images not just the uploader. Once that is known then I'm happy to put the files back. Dauth (talk) 18:02, 17 January 2017 (CET)
Answered on another page. Please phrase your comments better in the future. Thanks. ~ SolSys (talk) 18:05, 17 January 2017 (CET)

(Unindent) Apparently the images came from the converter which you are the contact for. Therefore I'm asking you what the source of the images was. If they are public domain or you created them then the images can return. Dauth (talk) 17:50, 18 January 2017 (CET)

The icons came from the WW1 & Interwar mod, with permission. However, I never received a reply to the conversation asking about their permissions. Idhrendur (talk) 18:16, 21 January 2017 (CET)
Dauth, the Ancap (soon-to-be Minarchist) icon was made by myself and I hope Idhrendur is gonna use it because the converter misses it. That is surely Public Domain. ~der Hochmeister, alas Flagger 13:40, 25 January 2017 (CET)
After a long wait, I got a reply giving permission for the icons to be used here. Idhrendur (talk) 22:39, 8 May 2017 (CEST)
