minor edit[edit]

Hello there,

when you mark a change as "minor edit", other users will not receive a notification about it. Please only uses that option when making trivial, uncontroversial changes like fixing a spelling mistake, linking to another page, or similar; not when changing the actual content. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Minor_edit#When_to_mark_as_minor_changes for guidelines on when to use "minor edit", thanks. Bitmode (talk) 05:27, 29 March 2019 (CET)

If a change needs explanation, what is the protocol for coding the explanation? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sir_Garnet (talk) 09:09, 20 August 2019‎ (CET)
Are you asking me? I'm not a moderator, but I'd say if it is just one sentence, write it in the summary of the change. Otherwise describe it in the talk page of the article and then refer to that in the summary. Better ask questions like this in forum wiki thread to get answers quicker and from the moderators. Oh and remember to sign your talk page messages using ~~~~. Bitmode (talk) 13:19, 22 August 2019 (UTC)
Generally speaking, it is preferred to have all edits with a summary of the change. ~ SolSys (talk) 20:29, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
